Here are the other pictures I promised. As you can tell, there is hardly a dull moment in our house these days...and we wouldn't trade it for anything!
In order to read the paper nowadays I have to appease The Shredder with her own section of the newspaper "to read." You can tell that she takes this task very seriously.
This new hobby only gets a little dangerous when she decides to taste her work. Good thing I have eyes like a hawk (thanks to teaching elementary school) and am an expert at finger swiping a mouth (thanks to Scout).
My poor baby is going to have an identity crisis. I love dressing her up like a little animal. Unfortunately, I think this bunny beanie is too small for her head now.
Aunt Erin, the tutu you gave us just keeps on giving. Look how cute it is paired with a sweater!
Ruby loves to play. Look how happy she is!
Remember what I said about dressing my baby like an animal? This is her giraffe hoodie. I love it! The hood has ears and giraffe knobs (or whatever the technical term is for those things).
As if this jacket couldn't get any cuter...it also has a tail! Love it!
Here's the whole ensemble. It really was my favorite splurge so far.

Happy Girl!
Nothing too exciting going on here. We're just enjoying the cooler weather and having fun with our happy baby girl. Every day her personality emerges a little more. She is our little ray of sunshine. Here are a few pictures that I took over the past few weeks.
I may have mentioned this before, but we're pretty sure Ruby thinks she's a puppy. She loves to hunt down Scout's toys and bones (and I even caught her chewing on a library book the other day). Don't worry, I took this bone away from her after I took this picture!
Here's our girl ready to go to the pool on Labor Day.
Look at that precious face all greased up with sunblock! Sweet baby-ness!
Ruby and Daddy playing in the pool on Labor Day. She discovered the fountains...too bad it was the last day our pool was open!
Spraying Mama with the fountain. Did I mention that our girl loooves to play in the water?
This is Ruby with her friend Eli. She isn't really interested in binkies, but on this day she couldn't help herself and crawled right up to him and swiped it out of his mouth!
Look at how surprised he is! He can't believe she just crawled up to him and stole his binky right out of his mouth.
If any of you knew me in high school this smile will seem familar to you. I think I must have a million "open-mouthed" pictures from back then. I guess she's a mama's girl.
She also has the serious look down pat. I guess she gets that from Daddy.
She looks so big in this picture. I can't believe how quickly she is growing! It's happening too fast for Mommy...
More pictures to come later this week...I've got too many for just one post.

For Grandpa Gary
When I was little I thought my dad was the strongest dad in the world because he would take me for laundry basket rides to the laundry room. (He probably was since he didn't stop until I was about 6 or 7 years old.)
So, Dad, these pictures are for you. When you come to visit next time Ruby will be ready for her first laundry basket ride.
