And here's another long-overdo installment of toddler talk...

Ruby- "Mommy, I love you more than ice cream." (While tucking her into bed.) Incidentally, this is probably my favorite thing to date that Ruby has ever said to me.
When I went to put Wyatt's shoes on his feet he started shaking his head, kicking his feet, and repeating, "Nooooooo! Booooos!" He wanted his boots and was very happy once I put them on. Since this happened he refuses to wear his shoes. It's "booos" all the time every day.

Wyatt speak: "nana" (banana); "amen" (after the prayer), "Dinosaur" (seriously, this kid can't say "boots" but he can say "dinosaur")
Ruby- "I want to marry Wyatt when I'm bigger."
Me- "Ruby, you can't marry Wyatt."
R- "Why?"
M- "Because he's your brother."
R- "But, Mommy he's my best friend." (She was practically in tears from hearing this news)
With out fail, as soon as the Sacrament bread is passed on church Wyatt takes one and says, "more."

Ruby speak: "Buffalope" (buffalo)
Ruby- "I'm ready to go to the park!" (after filling her purse with Grandma's ceramic animals)
After rolling through his bedtime routine (play with toys, say a family prayer, sing a song) Wyatt pointed to the rocking chair and grunted. As soon as I sat down with him he snuggled right up. It was a highly effective stall tactic-- who could resist a Wyatt snuggle?

Whenever he sees the camera, Wyatt freezes, and says, "cheese."
Awhile ago we noticed that Ruby was giving all of her stuffed animals and dolls very sweet names-- Sprinkles, Frosting, Ice Cream. At first we thought it was a manifestation of her sweet tooth, but then I realized it was the influence of Strawberry Shortcake.

Ruby- "Daddy, I want that football."
Brandon- "It's Wyatt's I bought it for his birthday. Do you want me to buy you one for your birthday?"
R- "Yeah, and some Barbies. Actually, just Barbies. (Proceeds to tell us the names of the princess Barbies she wants)
B- "But what about Scout? He likes to eat Barbies?"
R- "I will be so careful and if he does eat their hands I'll put band aids on them."
Sounds like a girl with a plan...
While at Golden Spoon Wyatt kept sampling my flavor. Eventually he took my cup and placed it closer to himself, then signed "share," and smiled.
Wyatt still LOVES balloons, balls, and things that go. Things that frighten him (and by that, I mean cause him terror): chipmunks and fans that are on (especially if he has a balloon nearby).
Me- "Ruby, that's adorable!" (after I placed a bow in her hair)
R- "No, it's a princess bow not a Dora bow."
It took me a minute to process what she heard.
R- "Please take Wyatt out of my room. I need some time to be alone."
Occasionally, Wyatt likes to scream in the car. Usually he follows it up "shhhh!"
R- "Is this where Bear and Band Aid live?" (Dogs that live on our street. Their names are actually Bear and Bandit.)
R- "The boys want to be fire stations when they grow up. I want to be a mom."
(Referring to the boys in her preschool class. By the way, this conversation occurred about the time we took a field trip to the fire station.)
Whenever we leave somewhere and I prompt Wyatt to say goodbye he'll sometimes wave and say "bye" but he always blows kisses.
