Ruby's 2 Year Update

Little Miss Ruby is growing and growing. With all the chaos of the past month we just got around to taking her to her 2 year well check. Here are her stats:
length- 33.5 inches (30%); which means she should be about 5 ft 6 in as a full grown adult
weight- 25 lbs (25%)
head- 47.5 (50%)

She is quite the talker. We're amazed at the words she picks up and the sentences she strings together. Sometimes she requires a mommy interpreter, but most of the time the general public understands what she is communicating. Currently some of her most used words/phrases are: wawa (chiuahua), srupt (syrup), tutoot (tutu), silky namies (silky jamies), nerman pancakes (German pancakes), hold you (when she wants to be held), monkey girl (when she hangs on things), he-lp (help, but said with such inflection), go pedal pedal (ride her tricycle), holler (hola-- what can I say, she's a gringa!), no please (no thank you).

Music is her thing. She loves to sing and dance around the house during the day and at night time her lullaby requests usually consist of: Twinkle Star; Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes; Temple Song (I Love to See the Temple); Pokey Song (Hokey Pokey); Itsy Spider; Baby Song (Goodnight Baby from the signing time series); and Heavenly Father (A Child's Prayer). Thanks to Aunt Chelsea, she also has Beiber Fever and loves to sing "baby, baby, oh..."-- too cute, for sure!

Ruby loves to play in her pink kitchen, read (especially Green Eggs and Ham), build things with legos, "fix stuff," and wash her hands. She hates to be dirty and takes great pride in cleaning up her toys, washing the dishes (she pushes a chair to the sink and gets to work whenever she sees a dirty dish), and keeping things organized.

Little Roo knows all of her colors and loves to point them out wherever she notices them. She can count to 2 and seems to understand the basic concept of counting, but gets a little lost past 2. We have heard her make it to 10 before, but the majority of the time she gets forgetful and skips numbers.

I know I brag about her all the time, but she is such a treasure. We love our little princess and are having the time of our lives chasing after her and watching her grow up.
