4th of July

This 4th of July we headed up to my inlaw's cabin in Heber for a fun weekend.  We invited our good friends-- Joe and Justine and their kids to come with us, but in the end they could only join us for the day.

We got up there Thursday night and stayed until Sunday morning.  The kids had a blast playing and hiking and swimming (Grandma and Grandpa's new hot tub was a HIT!).  Their favorite thing to do was go for "Razor Safaris, " though.  I have to admit, I liked it, too.  We'd pile in the Razor (Scout included) and drive around looking for wild life.  We spotted lots of dear and chipmunks, but no moose this time.

It was wonderful to take a few days off and just relax in a beautiful place together.  It didn't feel much like a typical Fourth of July-- no fireworks, no big neighborhood pool party; but it was great, nonetheless.
