Levi's Baby Blessing

On December 7 we blessed Levi in the church.  Brandon's great grandparents flew out from Arizona to participate.  Others in attendance were my cousin Cheri Hansen and her husband, Adam, Grandma Dona, Grandma Ruby, Brandon's cousin Bryce and his new wife, Carrie, Aunt Cheryl, Mom, Dad, and brother Chris.

He wore my uncle's vintage hand crocheted blessing outfit.  It has now been worn by my uncle Bob, my brother Nick, our little Wyatt, and Levi.

It was a beautiful day.  Brandon gave a lovely blessing and we enjoyed spending the morning in church with so many people that we love.  After the Sacrament service we had a delicious luncheon at our home. We had a lot of fun celebrating our beautiful little man and his presentation in the church.

Here's a copy of the blessing that Brandon gave:

date: Sunday 12/7/2014
location: Draper, Ut (South Mountain 2nd Ward; Traverse Ridge Building)
given by: Brandon Linford
participating in the circle: Clayton Mark Linford, Ronald G. Linford, Bryce Jacob Linford, Bishop Randy Clegg

Dear Heavenly Father, by the authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood, which we hold, we give this child a name and a blessing.  The name we give him is Levi Jude Linford.  At this time we would like to give him a blessing.  We bless him that he might be a peacemaker and follow the example of Jesus Christ in being kind to others and doing good works and finding how to bring peace to other people in this life.  We bless him that he may live a long and healthy and happy life; that he might be able to bring joy to many people.  That as he grows up that he may be able to find the ability to serve a mission and get married in the the temple and raise up children.  We bless him that he may have a sound mind and be able to learn many new things and to use his mind to think through the challenges that he will encounter in his life and to rely on Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to over come those obstacles.  We are so very happy to have Levi in this life with us and we bless him with these things in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
