Our mischievous little heartbreaker turned 4 a week after his big sis turned 6 (and that week in between parties was probably the longest of his life).  After seeing how much fun Ruby had he could hardly wait for his special day.

When it FINALLY came we started with the traditions early in the morning: 1st picture of the day (taken in bed while he was barely awake), presents, breakfast of choice (German pancakes), the birthday interview, and height measurement.  Then he, Brandon, and Ruby took off for the aquarium so that I could prepare for his party.  (Is this routine familiar? lol).  They had lots of fun.  Apparently, checking out the sharks, penguins, and otters never gets old.

Once they got home we all had lunch and got ready to party.  Wyatt wanted a dinosaur party, so we went with it. We invited his preschool classmates, neighbors- Sarah, James, and Elsie, and cousin.  Everyone colored dinosaur pictures, played pin the bones on the dinosaur fossil and dinosaur tag (aka herbivores and carnivores).  We did a dinosaur fossil hunt in the backyard and dissolved our "dino eggs" to discover hidden dinosaurs.  We also whacked a pinata, chowed down on dinosaur cupcakes, and opened presents.

After everyone went home we took a few minutes to decompress and then went out to eat.  Wyatt picked the "quesadilla place."  At first I thought he meant Cafe Rio and was thrilled and then we realized that he was talking about Del Taco. Whomp! Whomp!  At least it was cheap... and he had a great time playing in the indoor playground.

He sure love our little buddy.  He makes us smile everyday.
