Levi's 5 Month Update

Our tiniest just celebrated 5 months of life.  This first year is flying by so quickly...
He is quite the mover.  He's been a rolling machine for the past 2 months, but all of the sudden he's rolling in circles and inching his way forward by scrunching his bum.  No doubt about it, he's going to be an early mover.  Help us all!

He still spits up quite a bit, but about a month ago I started putting gas drops directly in his daytime bottles.  It has been a life saver!  Now he spits up a tablespoon or so after each feeding instead of a few ounces.  He continues to be "a happy spitter" so we aren't exploring the use of Nutramigen or acid reflux medication yet.  Hopefully as we introduce more solid foods and his digestive system matures things will keep improving.

He loves his catnaps and sleeping in your arms (and I don't mind a bit).  It seems like he's moving towards 3 solid daily naps (one around 9 am, one around lunch time, and one in the early afternoon), but a clear pattern has yet to emerge.  He usually wakes up once or twice a night for a feeding and then goes right back to sleep.  I'd be tempted to sleep train him now if it wasn't for the reflux.  I want to make sure that I'm breaking sleep associations not starving a little baby with reflux.

He is a super happy little guy.  He loves flashing a smile for anyone and everyone.  And his big grin makes us weak in the knees.

Ruby loves to perform for him.  Right now he probably has the words and hand motions to "You're a Grand Old Flag" memorized.  Wyatt loves to lay down on the floor next to him, pat his head, and play with his baby toys.  Watching them love and adore him is my favorite thing in the world.

He has tried rice cereal a few times and has yet to profess his love for it. lol  Maybe next month when he tries veggies for the first time he'll start to like eating, but we aren't counting on it...
